Following in Uncle (Barbet) Tug’s footsteps, Capri is officially a therapy dog. Her owner, Molly, started basic puppy training when Capri was a few months old. Once Capri passed puppy 101, Molly took her to therapy training once a week for over two months practicing things that could be encountered on potential therapy visits. Eventually, Capri was invited to take the Good Citizen test, she passed, and Molly and Capri began making therapy visits.
Via Molly “Sometimes, Barbet Capri can’t contain her excitement around people, but when it comes to being around those who are sick she clams down quiet a bit. Capri has been wonderful with all the old folks and loves for them to pet her! As of now we have been on four visits and have two down officially for her AKC Therapy Dog record.”
Below are some photos talented Photographer, Molly, send of Capri headed to Therapy training on Halloween in costume.
We couldn’t be more proud of Capri! Molly let us know early on she wanted to explore therapy dogs with her one day Barbet puppy. So during our puppy temperament and structure testing Capri exhibited traits we felt that would be ideal for therapy dogs and Molly followed through. Thank you Molly!
